I’m not usually one to post personal life on social media. I don’t post much of anything cause I like my life being private but today and for the months ahead I need all the prayers you can give me.

Mack and I went for the anatomy scan on babygirl yesterday (09-15-25) they seen concerns and sent us straight to UT today (09-16-25) for a high risk evaluation.

Babygirl has Spina Bifida, one of the more severe cases of it. For those that don’t know Spina Bifida is when the spinal column of a growing fetus doesn’t form properly during early pregnancy. This can result in an opening of the spine and it leaves spinal cords and nerves exposed. she could also have Hydrocephalus (Fluid on the brain) Every case of Spina Bifida is different and unique no matter what type it is.

I have decided to have the In utero surgery to potentially help her chances of walking and not having hydrocephalus. Either way she would require this surgery to put her spinal cord and nerves back where they belong. Having it done now VS after birth gives the spinal cord and nerves less chance of being severely damaged but Nothing is 100%. Spina Bifida doesn’t have a cure it is just managed but any chance I have to give her to walk and not need a shunt is what I would like to do.

We aren’t exact on dates yet, but it will be soon as the in utero surgery has a time limit or they can’t do it. we will be out of state for a while and out of work for longer. My current vehicle cannot make the drive to any of these possible locations for the surgery as they are hundreds of miles and my car simply cannot make it. As well as I will be away from my oldest and providing payment for his childcare during the time me & baby are in the hospital.

I’m mostly reaching out for prayers. I’ve never experienced anything like this nor did I ever think I would.. you simply don’t know untill you do and here we are.

As much as i dont want to ask, we need help. Mack and i will both be out of work during that time so anyone able to donate to a go fund me or just directly to mine or Mack’s cash app would be greatly appreciated to help with our rent back home, traveling expenses, childcare for my oldest, a rental car & everyday living for Mack while he’s tending to everything else while being by my side. I can set all that up once I know more.

UPDATE:

surgery has gone well, however, the team here at vanderbilt wants us to stay in the area until baby girl has been born, we still need help as were so far from home and cant work too keep our home. Any little bit helps guys, thank you so much to those who have already helped and to those wanting to help
