I only know Savannah, age 22, through “catch-up”, about out kids, with Drew and Christy when I see them from time to time. I recently asked Drew and Christy to describe the kind of person that Savannah is and here is what they said…

“Savannah is a high energy young lady who loves God, her family, her dogs, and being in nature. Her best day would be hiking in the beautiful mountains with her bloodhound and pit bull mix. She has also recently discovered a love for fishing. She is a wonderfully strong, carefree spirit whose sense of humor touches everyone she meets. She is constantly complimenting people in the hopes of making them smile and feel better about themselves.”

These are qualities we can all aspire to.

On Wednesday, September 3, late evening, in Knoxville, TN, Savannah was returning home from a great first date with a young man she had met a month before. They had just left a nice restaurant on his Harley motorcycle when an inattentive driver of an automobile struck them. Savannah and the young man sustained serious traumatic injuries that will require a long, hard road to recovery. Savannah is looking at multiple surgeries, extensive physical therapy, and months of rehab.

Savannah had no health insurance at the time of the accident, and the driver's insurance would fall far short of paying her mounting medical bills therefore, there is an urgent need for support. The Go-Fund Me financial support will be dedicated to alleviating the financial burden that Savannah will face with her extensive medical care and rehabilitation. These bills will continue to grow as she begins her journey to recover.
