Savannah Needs Your Help to Heal
Donation protected
I'm Savannah and I was recently diagnosed with cervical myelopathy, an ailment characterized by pain in the neck, shoulders and back. It also causes nerve pain and tingling and numbness in the arms and legs.
I deal with nerve pain throughout my body. My spinal cord is being compressed, causing constant numbness/tingling in my arms and legs. I am unable to work and have trouble walking around my own apartment due to lightheadness and a general feeling of wobbly-ness. I desperately want to get back to working and enjoying life.
I'm raising funds for a cervical disc replacement. I believe this procedure will drastically change my life. It will help relieve the compression on my spinal cord and reduce my risk of becoming partially, or even fully, paralyzed.
Update: I had my cervical disc replacement surgery on April 21, 2025. I am currently a week into recovery and my body is doing all kinds of adjusting. Without this surgery, I was not going to have the opportunity to try to get my life back. It still feels like something that is so far away but I am trying to be patient with myself. Listening to my body now is more critical than ever. It's still a long road to being fully recovered but, with the help of my doctor/surgeon, I believe I'm on the right path to recovery.
Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. The money will go towards keeping our bills paid, as well as for the surgery, medications and aftercare. Thank you!!
