Savannah Jane Lewis

Savannah Jane is our beautiful granddaughter who was born June 29th 2020. A couple of weeks after birth her birthmark that was just a pink stain on her nose and forehead started growing rapidly. Her pediatrician referred her to a dermatologist in Shelby, NC. This dermatologist sent her a referral to a pediatric dermatologist in Durham, NC. Duke Children’s dermatology. This is a 3 hour and 40 minute drive for my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. They are going to have to travel there again in the next few weeks for a series  of appointments and test, because the type of birthmark Savannah has is sometimes indicative of a syndrome called PHACE syndrome. Between traveling to Durham and lots of dr appointments, our son-in-law will also be missing time at work and he is their only source of income. He works very hard to provide for his kids and our daughter. Our daughter is a stay at home mom to Savannah, her twin brother Jacob and their older son Aaron. They are also experiencing some medical concerns for both of their boys. Anything right now would help with travel/gas and help keep their bills paid up so they don’t have to worry about that either.
