Savannah Grace was born February 27, 2024. Shortly after her birth, she was put into the NICU, and then transferred to Cohen’s Children Hospital PICU. There she went into surgery to be put on an ECMO machine to help her heart and lungs recover. Savannah was on ECMO for 9 days, and was strong enough to come off on International Women’s Day, March 8. After coming off ECMO, she was still on a breathing tube and countless amounts of medication to help her. While things seemed to be heading in the right direction, all of her organs were beginning to fail and several surgeries were going to be necessary in her future, with no guarantee they would help.

Through all of this, there were never any answers for what started all of this, or why things continued to fail. Savannah never gave up and fought with everything she had. On the afternoon of a March 15, 2024, Savannah closed her eyes for the final time and became a beautiful guardian angel.
