Savage Ranch Artist Residency

The Savage Ranch is an international creative community located in the Southern California Desert of Temecula. We are dedicated to giving visionaries, activists, and artists a chance to to create art, live, work and explore their creative fantasies in a place free from any gender & sexual discrimination. Our dream for this fundraiser is to raise enough money to help us expand the ranch for future artists in residence to stay.
Our immediate goal with the expansion is to improve the amenities, resources, and overall quality of life for current and future residents at the Savage Ranch.
Here is what we intend on building this summer;
-(Phase 1) Buy the building for the multi-purpose space (phase one completed)
- (Phase 2) 6 separate one bedroom bungalow
- (Phase 3) A septic system for communal bathrooms, showers etc.
- (Phase 4) Lay a pad & install electrical for the 50x50x20 metal domed, mutli-purpose creative hanger
- (Phase 5) A courtyard for picnic tables, for eating and lounging areas
We are set to build this project over the summer and will open as soon as September.

The social and economic crisis caused by the current pandemic has unfortunately displaced some people from their homes and diminished the sense of community we once had. I want to ensure that when we all get back to work, there will be a glorious light at the end of the tunnel.

Ever since inheriting the land in 2012, we have been on a constant mission to improve the amenities, resources, standard of living, and overall quality of life for current and future residents at the Savage Ranch. The ranch itself started out as a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing animals and has since expanded to artists. We have rescued animals from all over, 4 pigs, 10 chickens, 15 horses, and a handful of beautiful dogs. We look forward to sharing our journey with you!
We are proud of the accomplishments made thus far and are excited to continue renovations aimed at enhancing the artist residency experience. Thanks to the skillful manual labor and efforts of love from talented members of the collective over the past two years, we have successfully created the foundational infrastructure that will lend itself as the blueprint to the expansion of the Savage Ranch dream.
Our Mission
We want to be able to have as many people experience the magic of the Savage Ranch and take what they learn back to their own communities. In order to make that happen, we need a building that can house more artists to be able to create the utopian vision we've dreamt of. With your help we can make this dream into a reality. Universal Studios was created on a chicken farm and if they can do it so can we, together!
The Savage Ranch Residency House will be open to all who want a unique experience dedicated to giving back to our land, the local community and the universe around us. Residency programs as well as all visitations are offered and your time at the ranch is marked with a purpose.
Our vision is to gather together and grow as a community by developing the land to its fullest potential in the most sustainable way possible.
Your generous contributions will help us build the space to host artists, creators, visionaries and community leaders on the land and each contribution will come with perks including time at the Savage Ranch Residency House.
