J’ai eu l’amour de ma vie, Striker suite au décès soudain de mon ancien chien... nous avons traversé ensemble Striker & moi les meilleurs mais aussi les pires moments que j’ai vécu dans ma vie ces 6 dernières années ensemble. Voulant profiter du long week-end de la fête du Canada nous sommes allés au chalet comme à l’habitude et dans la
nuit de dimanche à lundi, soudainement, sans avertissement Striker s’est mis à vomir.... plus la nuit a avancé pire ça été, nous revenions le lundi à Montréal donc nous sommes partis plus tôt s’en venir à la maison et en prendre soin mais au bout d’à peine quelques heures, Striker étant un chien enjoué et super colleux n’était plus.... il voulait s’isoler seul dehors... et puis il a cessé de marcher, de bouger et en panique nous l’avons amener à l’hôpital de la Rive-Sud de toute urgence. Il a fait une crise de la prostate subite si intense que le vétérinaire nous a dit n’en avoir jamais vu une aussi intense en à peine quelques heures.... Il est donc à cet hôpital depuis le 1er juillet. Nous avons déjà donner 2500$ en acompte. Ils ont trouvé que suite à cette crise intense pour lequel il est actuellement traité, du liquide s’est échappé de sa prostate pour se loger dans son estomac causant ainsi des ulcères qui risquent d’exploser. S’il n’est pas opéré d’urgence il risque de mourir SVP AIDEZ-MOI à le sauver, il est toute ma vie à moi & ma famille. Peu importe la somme versée je vous en remercie du fond du cœur///
* I acquired the love of my life, Striker after the sudden passing of my other dog. Striker and I went through hell and back together.... we have a had to go through the best and the worst that life has to offer over the last 6 years. While enjoying the Canada day long week-end, we went to the cottage as usual and over the night of Sunday to Monday, Striker began to vomit for no apparent reason. As the night progressed, Striker took a turn for the worst. Monday morning, we rushed back to Montreal so he could be home resting and getting better but Striker quickly became different, isolating himself and clearly not being his usual affectionate self. He progressively stopped walking and was barely moving. We rushed him to the animal hospital on the South Shore of Montreal as we were panicked and could not make sense of what was happening. After several tests, the vet told us that Striker had suffered an acute prostatitis and the vet said they had never seen one progressing so quickly and violently. They were not sure if he would make it through the night. Here we are now some 12 hours later and he is still hanging by a thread. We were able to front the initial $2500 for the emergency admission and treatment at the animal hospital.
After a battery of tests, the clinic discovered that some fluid escaped his prostate and lodged itself in his stomach causing ulcers that are now threatening his life more than ever. Striker must be operated on urgently or else he will die. I beg all of you to help me save my dog. He means everything to me and our family. Regardless how small the donation you can make is, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
