Hi everyone,

My name is Alrie, and I recently volunteered at Sanyu Baby Home in Kampala, Uganda — the country’s oldest baby home, run with incredible care and compassion by Director Barbara Mutagubya and her team.

While I was there, a newborn baby named Joseph arrived at the home. Only two days old, he had been found abandoned at a marketplace. Despite such a difficult start, Joseph is a fighter. Thanks to the dedicated staff at Sanyu and the medical team that cared for him, he is out of hospital out in safe hands at Sanyu.

However, his medical bill was significant, and the home relies entirely on donations to cover these unexpected costs. I’ve created this fundraiser to help raise €1,000 to support Joseph’s recovery and to ease the financial burden on the home.

All funds will go directly to Sanyu Baby Home, ensuring that Joseph — and other children like him — continue receiving the care, love, and stability they deserve.
