Hi everyone,

I am Saturne, and since 2021 I live in Switzerland where I am dedicated to building community. Some of you know me as an artist, a part of a collective, a speaker, or a seggs symbol :3 My reality is I put a lot of effort to remain in this country I chose for myself and which feels the most like “home” so far. The stability I have achieved here in terms of health-care, housing, professional life and social-network is now at stake.

My work permit is expiring in 2026 and my goal is to renew it to be able to stay in Switzerland for the next 5 or even 10 years. My main obstacle is my economical situation. As a free-lancer with current health issues, I don’t have the required income to be eligible for a resident permit at the moment. Moreover, the visa application is a quite invasive administrative procedure, where my bank account will be searched in order to make sure I fulfil the capitalistic state expectations of productivity. I need 5 digits on my bank statement to make it.

Some of you already know, for the past few months, I have been trying to recover from a nervous breakdown caused by a family trauma. Seeking professional help going to therapy truly feels like a luxury at this point, as my mental health is having a significant impact on my ability to work jobs and make a living. Yet I actively decided to quit the hyper-independent mindset I had in the past. I want to believe in the values I have been cultivating over the years: allyship, solidarity and payback.

I need time, I need support and security to get out of my current precarity. It is about my past and it is also about my future.
