Hello, welcome, and thank you for supporting Satura!
Satura is an English-language student journal at the University of Münster in Germany. All the articles and art are submitted by students, and the journal is edited, laid out, and published by students. We started in 2018 and in November 2023 we'll release our fifth volume, full of amazing and clever creative work and academic research.
Even though we're based in Münster, we accept submissions from all over the world. We've published contributions from students in the U.S., Russia, Ghana, and India, as well as other German universities.
Satura is produced and published completely for free. We apply to cultural funding sources to help us with the costs of printing the journal itself, but we also incur a variety of smaller costs from things like printing advertising materials and hosting small events.
Our biggest expense after printing is always our launch party. We could use your help with that! We try to invite all our staff and contributors, and as many members of faculty and the larger student body as we can manage, to celebrate each volume's release. Your donation ensures we can throw a proper party and celebrate the amazing work of our student staff and contributors.
This GoFundMe will remain open on a semi-permanent basis to help us with expenses on an ongoing basis. Thanks for chipping in, and thanks for supporting student writing.
