Sattva Yoga Jersey City Needs Support

Sattva Yoga Jersey City needs your support. As most of you are aware we are a small, community space, owned and managed by a sole proprietor Karen Mandell, a local JC Heights resident, without any investor backing. Sattva has been closed now for 7 weeks, doing all we can to keep our community connected and offer much needed yoga and meditation classes via livestream at a reduced rate. . So far we have been self supporting and have received minimal outside support. We are covering expenses, but it's getting more and more challenging the longer we are closed..
We are so grateful to our community for their love and support, we are looking forward to the day when Sattva can reopen and we can practice together in the studio under the Sattva tree once again. But that will take time and will also require some changes in order to keep everyone safe as we gather. We will need to take many steps to ensure the safety of our students and teachers and right now we just do not have the funds to purchase what is needed.
Specifically, we are hoping to purchase UV light sterilization equipment for our space and props as well as a Medical Grade Air Purifier that is capable of eliminating germs and viruses in the air up to 700 sq feet.
This is why we are reaching out to you today; so many have generously asked how they can help us during this challenging time, we are in need of funds to cover the cost of this equipment as we are just getting by at this point and there just isn't any extra money.
Every little bit helps, we may not be considered important enough to the Federal or local government in terms of receiving financial aid, however we know our true value is of a entirely different currency and is truly vital today more than ever. We are counting on the generosity of our community, our sangha.
We need each other now more than ever, in the end what truly matters is just this, our connection and love for one another. We will hold each other up, and we will all heal in the end.
