Support Sati Jaya's Medical Emergency

Our dear Sati Jaya has had a frightening medical emergency and needs the support of us all. On Saturday morning, she began losing vision in her left eye; in a couple of days, her entire direct vision field was dark. She could only see things in her periphery. I can't imagine losing my sight, and how frightened and helpless I would feel! She acted quickly and was able to receive care. The diagnosis? A detached retina.

Gratefully, she has received urgent surgery to reattach her retina. But this is the beginning of a long road ahead. While the procedure went as planned, she and her doctor won't know for about 2 months what her vision will be.

How can you help?

First and foremost, please pray that Sati Jaya's vision is fully restored.

Secondly, please consider donating any amount you can. Adding to the stress of this experience is the cost of the procedure. Sati Jaya does not have insurance at this time and needs our help. Every dollar helps, and 100% of the money raised will go directly to Sati Jaya.

Before this happened to Sati Jaya, I can tell you that I never imagined something like this could occur. Even during this week of counting blessings, I take my eyesight for granted. This is my puja and prayer that we can support Sati Jaya and take a moment of gratitude for all we have.
