Let me tell you about our friend Satero...
Satero Ramos(1957-2023) was a beloved man by all those that he touched. “Sat” was a huge proponent of positivity and the role of sport in the world we live in. He was more about the competition than the result of the competition because he loved the moment he was in.
If Satero could be summed up in a single word it would be “giving”.
Satero gave his heart to his amazing wife Donna. He gave his love to his great son Quentin who unfortunately went through some long and horrific health battles of his own. And Satero gave his soul to his passions which were varied but centered around sports, specifically Fastpitch Softball and Baseball.
Satero touched hundreds if not thousands through donating his time at the Dirt Dawg facility in Yakima, Playing, or just having young people come to his home to learn and train in his immaculately green and lovely yard equipped with a batting cage he erected and Donna there to film it.
Ironically, but sadly, Satero's heart gave way suddenly on January 14th and he passed on the 16th. Satero is survived by his wife Donna and son Quentin. Donna is Q’s sole caregiver as he is autistic and has other serious health issues that nearly took him from us a few years ago.
Please help this wonderful family heal and move forward without the worry of the medical bills and lost income that Satero’s passing has left behind. If there was ever a person who deserves to be propped up by all of us, it is Donna!
A Celebration of life will be held at the Cinco de Mayo Mens' fastpitch tournament Saturday April 29th, 12pm at Gateway Sportsplex Field #4 in Yakima,WA.
