On the 5th and 6th of September we are running a 24-hour Swimathon with target to swim 100km across the 24 hours. The challenge will begin at 1pm on the Saturday and finish at 1pm on the Sunday – yes, this means swimming all the way through the night!

The challenge will be raising money for Satellites SC and in memory of Mia Jennings who sadly passed away at the age of 19 in 2023. Mia was a member of the teaching and HR staff at Macclesfield Leisure Centre and subsequently has had a major impact on our club having taught a lot of the younger swimmers in the club and was well known and loved amongst the coaching team.

In this we hope to raise awareness about cardiac risk in the young as well as well needed funds for the club to help us operate. All funds raised will be split equally between both causes.
