Sassy's Fight

My name is Sassafrass, but everyone calls me Sassy.  Im a 6 yr old Border Collie mix who is in desperate need of medical treatment. My mom and dad rescued me when I was2 from a shelter where I was skin and bones. Thanks to them, I gained weight, learned to trust and love. I had a pretty rough start to life and now Im fighting to keep living. Due to heart worm disease and some damage it's done, I've developed pancreatitis and some liver and kidney function issues.  There is treatment but mom and dad are fighting to pay the bills to save me.  They aren't ready to give up on me and I'm not ready to give up either.  No one was sure if I'd make it through the night but the first round of meds  seem to be helping. Now Im starting to eat and drink again a little bit every hour. But we need help to keep going. My body is retaining fluid and  I really need to be admitted to the pet hospital for intensive treatment. If you can help us, we'd all be extremely grateful.  I really want to stay on this side of the rainbow bridge for a while.  Thank you!
