Support for Scott's Family After Van Fire

Donation protected
My name is Ellie Talley, and my family could use your help. On Friday, June 14, my two uncles, aunt, and cousin headed to Memphis for a Sasser Family Reunion. Toward the end of their trip, my Uncle Jason's handicap-accessible van caught on fire on I-40 in Arkansas after blowing a radiator hose. There were no physical injuries, but the experience was terrifying for all involved. We are so grateful to the first responders and upstanders who supported my family amid a very scary situation, even going as far as to load my uncle's 300+ lb. wheelchair into an ambulance and drive it into Memphis to meet my father, who had secured a van rental 20 minutes before closing. It was an important reminder of the good in the world and how special it is when people come together to support each other.

The van is totaled, and this is my uncle's primary means of transportation. It was insured, but the family will incur additional costs in securing a new van for my Uncle Jason. Your donations will go toward purchasing a new, reliable, handicap-accessible van for him and any additional family needs due to this emergency.

Thank you for supporting our family during this time.
