In 2007 my dear friend Sassan, a loving son and a dedicated college student was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Bell cell lymph node cancer in his neck and had to undergo a course of chemotherapy alongside radiotherapy at the tender age of 19. Fifteen years later, his battle continues.

Sassan’s journey since has been a long and grueling fight with many ups and downs along the way.

Unfortunately for Sassan, after 4 years of battling Hodgkin’s, the cancer spread to his abdomen and pelvis and the current chemo treatments just aren’t proving effective enough.

In recent weeks his oncologist delivered the devastating news that he has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer in the rectal area and must undergo further treatment.

Sassan is an absolute inspiration to everyone who knows him, especially his family and friends and is determined not to concede defeat to this disease. For him, time with her loved ones is so precious and his passion for education so bright, he will exhaust every avenue in his battle to spend more time with his family, continue serving his church, and complete his studies to serve as an immigration lawyer to refugees.

Sassan quit school in order to afford his treatments, but due to lack of health insurance and massive medical expenses, his funds are scarce.

So this is where we are asking and hoping for your support - we are looking to raise money for Sassan to proceed with his chemotherapy. If we are unable to do so, his treatment comes to a halt. His situation is urgent and life threatening. Any donation no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated.
