Anyway, you’re still here… so shall we continue? I’ve been thinking about doing one of these, for just over a year now and the only thing that’s stopped me in my tracks, is shame? Guilt? Embarrassment? I can’t quite put my finger on it but I just didn’t go ahead.

so….. look at me, rabbiting on, like I knew I would.

I’m here, to set my GoFundMe and for those who don’t know, Hi, I’m Saskia, and have been transitioning from MTF for the last 9 years (medically) but have always been me/Saskia from the moment I could walk & talk. I’m comfortable in my skin, the way I conduct myself and my life in general, I love me. But there’s always been something I’ve wanted to fix, to help alleviate my gender dysphoria a little more, and that something is called facial feminisation surgery (FFS). Recently, after extensive research and meetings, I have finally found my surgeon & hospital to help me with my FFS - Dr Bellinga at FacialTeam in Marbella. Many other trans people have had surgery with FacialTeam, and they’re a highly recommended hospital for those living with gender dysphoria.

The particular surgeries I discussed with Dr Bullinga at my appointment are:

1: Forehead reconstruction.

2: Rhinoplasty.

3: Chin & jaw reconstruction.

All 3 are inclusive and all 3 areas will be operated on the same day.

My need and want for these procedures stems from me going through male puberty, very early on in my teenage years. Which unfortunately caused my body (facial features to be exact) to be slightly more “male prominent”, which of course sets off an uncomfortable amount of dysphoria in my day to day life.

I am able to live a comfortable life, as stated earlier on. I’ve never really experienced transphobia (which I’m ever so fortunate for) but some of my other trans friends haven’t been so fortunate in this aspect. I do think my approach to certain situations is to stand up and fight for myself, a fight or flight mode if you will. So I’ve never really stood for being the laughing point of the room, and I feel that’s helped me live my beautiful life, that I’m fortunate to say is mine.

Am I doing okay so far? I’m not crying yet so I think we’re good! Haha! (If you do know me, you’ll know I’m the emotional b!tch, ready to cry at any given time)

Just going back to me and my early years, I was prescribed my medications (hormone replacement therapy) AKA (HRT), which has helped and alleviated 90% of my gender dysphoria in the last 9 years, and continues to do so. Through this, my disgusting T levels (testosterone) have significantly decreased, whilst my beautiful oestrogen levels have increased. Giving me softer, lighter skin, minimal and noticeable fat transfers throughout my body (curves in all the right places ;-)) and being able to organically produce breast tissue, all the way up to a DD cup, which makes me cry most days because I’m just so astounded that this happened without surgery.

Okay - now I’m crying!!! See, told you I’m that b!tch. Inserting a massive eye roll here… haha.

I’m not sure if this is adequate enough, if it’s too much or too little to explain my little life in a few short paragraphs but to summarise… This would save my life a little more. I’ll be able to wake up and just go for a run, nip to the shops or walk the dogs without needing to apply makeup and contour to the gods!

All funds will be used ONLY for surgery, as outlined above.
