Sasha's Strength

Donation protected
We don’t get to choose our battles in life. But we all get to choose whether or not we’ll stay down or get up and keep fighting.

Sasha Gordon is choosing to fight.

On November 8, 2022, shortly after her 39th birthday, Sasha received the diagnosis no woman ever wants to hear: You have breast cancer.

The mother of three (Trey, Q’Asha and Quinton Jr), alongside her husband Quinton Gordon, gathered up every resource they could to begin the fight of a lifetime — against stage 3 estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer.

Financial gifts from friends and family helped fund Sasha’s initial doctor’s visits and tests as well as bimonthly plane trips to/from Nassau to receive chemotherapy.

She’s now bracing for the next stage of her battle against this unforgiving disease: Surgery to remove the lump followed by radiation.

Both procedures are a significant financial undertaking. The lump-removal surgery is estimated at between $5,000 to $10,000. Initial estimates for radiation amount to $18,000, including a $5,000 down payment due in two weeks. She also has to pay for travel costs, medication and the added costs of more nutritious foods and supplements to maintain a healthier lifestyle. A mastectomy is also likely to be in her future.

Sasha is no stranger to mustering up the resilience to take on life’s most difficult challenges. At 11 years old, she lost her mother to stomach cancer and, in many ways, became a maternal figure to her younger sister, Selina. Sasha’s father was their biggest cheerleader, advocate and supporter before his untimely death — due to a pulmonary embolism — in 2010.

Throughout every hardship, curveball and unexpected setback, Sasha has never complained, never given up – and her faith has never wavered.

We have created this GoFund Me to lighten the financial load on Sasha and her family. The Gordons have exhausted all of their available resources. Sasha has fought long and hard to this point and needs to conserve her strength to continue to battle against and overcome this disease.

From the bottom of our hearts we humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family and, if you’re able to, please donate yourself (any amount will help).

We thank you for your support and God bless every one of you!
