Sasha's Recovery
Donation protected
On May 31st, Sasha was involved in a serious, near-fatal accident. She was rushed to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego where she spent several weeks in the ICU undergoing more than half a dozen surgeries. Though her trauma team says it's a miracle she survived, her road to recovery is quite long.
There are no words to describe the moment the hospital reached our family to let us know Sasha had been rushed in, unconscious, and in critical condition. There are also no words to describe the joy we felt when we finally heard her voice again. And see her beautiful, big smile.
Within this past month, my mom has quit her job to stay beside Sasha every day for nearly 16 hours a day. Her medical care is extensive and requires 6-8 weeks of bed rest, more surgeries to remove her metal bracings, followed by a few months of intensive physical therapy to get her back on her feet. So we're only getting started.
We couldn't possibly be more grateful for the visits, the lunches, the flowers and cards, and all of the calls and texts pouring in at this difficult moment in our lives. Everyone's overwhelming love and support mean the world to us, especially Sasha as she powers through her recovery. But any donation you can provide will truly help us to focus on Sasha, and Sasha alone. They will go towards her medical costs and any financial expenses related to her accident.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for sending your love, light, and prayers to Sasha.
With love,
The Uras
