Sasha needs us. We Need her.

If you know me, then you know Sasha. She is magic. She has always been magic. To know her is to love her. I'm Stephanie, one of many very lucky people who has been allowed to know and love Sasha. She is a fierce mama bear to 5 amazing humans. She founded and runs organizations that feed the homeless. She is selfless. For the past few months, she has quietly battled cancer, navigating health care, and juggling being a mom and friend. The world is better off because she is in it.

Sasha never asks for help. She has put off her needs due to finances, time, and all who depend on her. She can no longer do that, and she needs our help. I am asking us to all pull together and help her cross the finish line.

The facts:

In August of 2022, after years of Drs visits and an increasingly compromised immune system it was found that Sasha had cervical cancer. A procedure was done to remove some of the cells, and a scan showed clear results in February. However, the most recent biopsy showed that the cancer remains. Sasha will undergo a modified radical hysterectomy, which is a major abdominal surgery. Expected recovery time is 6-8 weeks of no driving, shopping, cooking, etc, and three months before resuming normal activities.

Sasha will be down for a while. The surgery is expensive. She won't be able to work, and she is on her own. Let's help her and her family reach the finish line.
