Help Sasha beat Hepatic Lipidosis

Hello, my name is Brandon Cline. I have had my cat Sasha, alongside her sister Lulu since October 2018. A few months ago for the sake of our cats health, we put them on a diet. Sasha in particular lost a lot of weight because she wasn't eating a bunch but now she has stopped eating all together.

After not eating for 2 days, we made the quick decision on taking her to the emergency vet to get her checked because it's worrisome. After a $800 vet visit, Sasha has been diagnosed with what they believe is Hepatic Lipidosis which is considered life-threatening if not treated fast, and is most common for cats in North America (I'm in Canada).

The vets gave us a tablet broken into quarters to give her once every 1-3 days. It's Mirtazapine, and made to help give pets an appetite so they will hopefully eat. She did end up eating a bit, but nowhere near enough as one of the days she had the pill and still refused to eat. We have tried many different things to even encourage her to eat. 5 different types of kibble, soft food, even just her favorite treats. We even tried different bowls materials like Metal, Plastic, Ceramic, and different heights/angles to make something more comfortable or appealing to encourage eating.

Today is the Fifth day we are trying to help with this. We brought her to the vet and she is getting a feeding tube currently, and will be with us tonight- March 26th. If her health keeps declining, we don't have enough money to afford it as it will be around $5,000 and I am working part time to even afford my university tuition.

The funds this may raise will be used to help us with Sasha's medical expenses being visits to the vets, medication, and possibly other tools that would help her eat food. If we do manage to reach our goal and Sasha gets better, I would either like to try and give people any leftover money back, give the money to someone else who is struggling with their pets health, or keep it aside in case Sasha or her sister Lulu get sick in the future.
