Yesterday evening my 2 girls were admitted to the Emergency after hours veterinarian clinic for poisoning. They were on leashes in our yard when they came into contact with and ingested part of the lilies from the neighbours yard. This can be fatal even if treated immediately.
My girls got in right away and are now on IVs to flush their systems. They are so much more than cats, these 2 are my life. They are my babies, my family. They have saved me over and over again and I am beside myself with an overwhelming vet bill I cannot begin to afford - this is a copy of ONE of their treatment plans…
Abby, a rambunctious loud mouth is my little baby. She sleeps with me each night , grooms my hair before bed, and wakes me in the morning. She is a trouble maker and instigator, and I love every bit about her.
Sasha is my flufferbutt. My floofty baby. I have raised her since she was 8 weeks old , so tiny she fit in the palm of my hand curled up. She is stubborn and determined. She loves to explore and watch the birds. She has stayed by me through my depression, through the good times and bad. She has saved me. I owe her everything.
Through the Covid lockdowns, Sasha and Abby were a comfort to the neighbourhood and entertained the kids on our lawn. People would come to visit and have a socially distanced smile tossing toys for the cats in the grass.
The cats adventures have taken them across the border from the US, and across provinces .They are excellent road trippers , just us 3 against the world. They are loving grandkittens to my Mom and Dad , and beloved by all who meet them.
