Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

My challenge was postponed in April due to lockdown, but I now have a new date! Saturday 8th August 2020! So I still have time to reach my funding target. I didn't feel that it was appropriate to ask for sponsorship during this past few difficult months but luckily this gofundme page was still here for when I had a new date and could resume my training and campaigning.

When I set out to do this challenge in April it was in the aftermath of the Australian bushfires which claimed the lives of an estimated 1 billion native species pushing many to the point of extinction. As the search-and-rescue mission for wildlife survivors of Australia’s Kangaroo Island bushfires continued, animal charity Humane Society International stepped in as the number of animals needing to be taken into care was increasing as starvation and dehydration started to hit.

At the same time they have been working hard across Asia to put an end to the dog and cat meat trade, where millions of animals are brutally treated and killed. In South Korea, dogs are farmed in appalling conditions. HSI works in China, South Korea, Indonesia and Vietnam to end the cruelty.

Humane Society International/UK is a leading force for animal protection, with active campaigns to protect British wildlife, to reduce and replace animal use in scientific research and product testing, to expose and stop the sale of fur, and to reduce the number of animals suffering on farms.

Do you want to join me in making a difference and help raise £1000 to help this fantastic organisation? I'm taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on now the 8th August to raise money in aid of The Humane Society International (UK) and every donation will help.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. The route is 24 miles (38.6km) and includes 5200ft (1585m) of ascent.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
