Sascha and Lawson's fight against Leukemia

Can you help? We’re reaching out to offer support to Sascha Orrock and her son, Lawson, who approximately six weeks ago was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). A diagnosis that turned their world upside down overnight. Lawson is 13 years old and in Year 8 at school.
Sascha has been a longstanding part of the Hospitality and Racing family and was about to start a new chapter in her career. As you can imagine, this has now been put on hold as Sascha cares for Lawson.
Lawson’s treatment to date has included chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and other treatment regimes. Unfortunately, these have not been as successful as hoped. Lawson has now been placed on the bone marrow transplant register and is preparing for the next steps of his treatment.
Sascha knows we’re thinking of her and Lawson, and we've offered our support, but we'd like to take things a step further by putting that support into action. We are hoping that this campaign will provide some financial support during a very difficult time. A few expenses come to mind:
Hospital food is okay – for a day or two, but if you’ve ever been admitted for more than that, we’re sure you can appreciate the desire for some take-away food. These costs add up quite quickly.
The WIFI at the Children’s Hospital varies depending on the Ward and its location. At times, it’s not available. The ability to top up Lawson's phone plan when needed to access streaming channels and games would be great.
Lawson’s ability to move around is deteriorating. Wheelchairs are not always available at the hospital. Renting a wheelchair during this time will make it so much easier for both Sascha and Lawson to get to and from the hospital and get some fresh air and sunshine, particularly when at the hospital for longer periods.
This journey is not a short one, and each day will bring different challenges. Every donation will help. If you are not able to contribute financially – perhaps you could share the link with a friend or family member. Sascha is aware of the campaign – and only agreed with much hesitation – however if the tables were turned, we know she would be one of the first people to set something up for others.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and giving consideration to supporting Lawson and Sascha.
