Saruh & Noelle's Agroecology Delegation Trip

On behalf of Urban Tree Connection, Saruh and Noelle will be joining farmers, teachers, and healers from across the U.S. for an Agroecology Delegation with Witness for Peace Solidarity Collective this Spring.  

With your support, we will be able to learn from agro-ecological cooperatives and mutual aid networks in the Caribbean to strengthen our food sovereignty work in West Philly while building solidarity with projects improving the lives of their people. 

Programming for this Delegation includes: 

-Learn from expert popular educators about their models, workshops, and trainings
-Visit a homeopathic pharmacy / create and apply herbal remedies
-Learn about long-term adaptation and resiliency plans
-Hear from a leading Caribbean economist about social spending during crises and social programs
-Tour urban and rural agro-ecological cooperative projects and learn how they work
-Exchange with youth permaculture organizers and promoters
-Interface with Afro-Caribbean popular educators and share cultural work and strategies
-Delve into an eco-community focused on reforestation, vegetarianism and natural products
