Campaign Title:
URGENT: Sariyah– Fighting Aggressive Brain Cancer

Introduction:
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I am writing to you today with a plea that no parent ever wishes to make. Our vibrant and joyful 3-year-old daughter, Sariyah, has been diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an aggressive brain tumor with devastating consequences. It has turned our world upside down, and we are reaching out for your help.

Personal Story/Inspiration:
It all started in mid-December 2023. Sariyah’s eyes began crossing, and there were no other apparent symptoms. As concerned parents, we consulted her daycare, but they noticed nothing else unusual either. When we visited the doctor, he found it odd and recommended a CT scan. While we thought it was a minor issue, the reality was far worse than we could have ever imagined.

On December 21, 2023, we rushed to the emergency room after being unable to secure an appointment for a CT scan. What followed was nothing short of a nightmare. A CT scan revealed that Sariyah had a brain bleed, which led to a series of events that shattered our hearts. She lost her mobility and speech due to the effects of the bleed, and the eventual diagnosis was heartbreaking: DIPG, a terminal and aggressive brain cancer with no cure.

Problem Statement:
DIPG is one of the most aggressive childhood brain cancers. It affects a part of the brain that controls essential functions like breathing, heart rate, and mobility. DIPG has a zero-survival rate, and traditional treatments offer little hope. Sariyah has already lost much of her physical abilities, and the tumor continues to threaten her life.

Financially, we are struggling to keep up with the overwhelming costs of daily living. Radiation and a clinical trial of chemotherapy are the only hopes to give Sariyah a better quality of life, but the burden of not being able to work and daily expenses we incure is more than we can bear alone. This is where we humbly ask for your help.

Solution:
Your donations will allow us to continue to provide comfortability for Sariyah’s while praying for a miracle and giving her the best chance at living a longer life as comfortable as possible. These funds will cover:

Travel costs: For transporting Sariyah to her treatments and other activities to keep her comfortable
Daily care expenses: Covering anything to put a smile on her face and to keep her comfortable.
Every dollar counts, and we are eternally grateful for any support you can provide, whether it’s through a donation, a share of our campaign, or prayers for our little girl.

Project Details:
Medical Treatments: Sariyah is currently undergoing radiation and participating in a clinical trial chemotherapy. This treatment plan aims to shrink the tumor and hopefully give her more time to live comfortably.

Rehabilitation: Sariyah has already lost her ability to move parts of her body due to the brain bleed and tumor. Rehabilitation is essential for her quality of life, and we are doing everything we can to support her.

Living Expenses: The strain on our finances has been immense. Between covering day-to-day living costs, and caring for Sariyah, we are in urgent need of financial help to make ends meet.

Milestones/Goals:
We have set a fundraising goal of $40,000 to help cover all the cost associated with daily living and care for Sariyah and ease the burden financially on our family.

Team Background:
Our family is small but full of love. My children and I are doing everything we can to be strong for our Sariyah, but this journey has been incredibly hard. We have been blessed with a wonderful medical team at the children’s hospital, including our oncologist, Dr. Chein, who has been guiding us through this difficult diagnosis. Alongside him, we have a group of compassionate nurses, therapists, and specialists working tirelessly to give Sariyah the care she needs.

Timeline:
December 2023: Sariyah began experiencing symptoms, leading to her initial diagnosis.
January 2024: Sariyah started radiation therapy, and her rehabilitation began shortly after.
Ongoing: Sariyah is currently undergoing treatment and participating in a clinical trial chemotherapy. Our goal is to raise the necessary funds by March 2024 to ensure continuous treatment and care.

Visual Content:
We’ve added photos of Sariyah before and after her diagnosis to show her joyful spirit and strength. These images capture the little girl we are fighting for—a beautiful child who loves life, even as she battles this devastating illness. We hope that by sharing these photos, you will see the life and hope that we want to preserve for as long as possible.

Call to Action:
Now, more than ever, we need your help. Please consider donating to our campaign to give Sariyah the fighting chance she deserves. Whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, every donation brings us one step closer to easing the burden of this terrible disease on our family.

If you’re unable to donate, please share Sariyah’s story with your friends, family, and social networks. Spreading awareness can be just as impactful as financial support. And if you can offer prayers or positive thoughts, we welcome them with open hearts. Together, we can make a difference in Sariyah’s life.

Closing/Gratitude:
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Sariyah’s story. Your generosity, kindness, and support mean more to us than words can express. Every act of compassion helps us continue this fight for our daughter. We are grateful beyond measure for any help you can provide—be it financial, emotional, or spiritual.

Let’s rally together to give Sariyah the love, hope, and care she deserves during this incredibly difficult time.

With all our gratitude and love,
Sariyah’s Family ❤️
