Help Sarek Play with Team USA

Hello! My name is Sarek Mallareddy. I’m 16 years old. Most of you know that I am an ultimate frisbee player. I was recently selected to play on Team USA which will compete at the 2024 Junior World Ultimate Championships in Birmingham, England, in July. This competition is the frisbee equivalent of the World Cup. It is truly an honor to represent my frisbee community and country while doing what I love most at the highest level.

My Path:

I’ve played competitively for three years, but I started throwing a disc with my parents when I was 4. Here are a few videos!

I went to my first tournament with a program called Ultimate Impact and to my first national tournament at 14 with OAK Ultimate. I now play all year round with high school, competitive youth and men’s travel club teams. I also coach, mentor, volunteer, and participate in leadership development in the Bay Area frisbee community. Ultimate has not only made me a competitive and confident athlete but also a kind, authentic, and honest person. Last but certainly not least, Ultimate has gifted me with some of my closest friends and allowed me to meet people all over the country. Without my teammates and coaches believing in me, I would not be in this amazing situation.

How can you help?

Unfortunately, USA Ultimate does not yet have the corporate sponsorship that other sports do. Players have been asked to cover most of the expenses, which will be about $5300. Expenses are: training and travel to training weekends, medical coverage, lodging and transportation to and from England. I’ve also been working and saving for this experience. Anything you can donate to help me cover the above expenses and get me there is greatly appreciated.
