Sarcoma UK - Cambridge Half Marathon
For those who know us well they already know this story but our husband, brother and future brother-in-law, Jamie, was diagnosed in 2023 with a soft tissue sarcoma.
Sarcoma’s are a rare form of cancer making up less than 2% of all cancer diagnosis, and there are over 100 sub-types of sarcoma. Because of their rarity, we currently know very little about Sarcoma’s compared to other cancers. It is therefore imperative we learn more to improve diagnostic tools and treatment options for the 5000 people a year in England diagnosed.
We’ve seen Jamie go through both radiotherapy and chemotherapy in his battle to beat his sarcoma, and he still continues that battle today. In honour of this, we are all running Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for Sarcoma UK for those going through the same journey as Jamie - past, present and future.
Thank you for taking the time to read our message, and thank you for your support.
