Hi! My name is Lauren Benz, and for my capstone for my senior year, I decided to do a walk for my mom, Wendy Benz, who passed away from sarcoma cancer in 2024. A capstone is an end-of-year project that all seniors are required to pass in order to graduate. It has to encapsulate everything we have learned in and out of the classroom through our years in high school, while serving the community in some way. I want to raise money for sarcoma research while raising awareness for this awful illness. All the money raised will be donated to The Sarcoma Alliance nonprofit towards sarcoma research.
