Update 12/18/23:

Saraya is currently at the Mayo Clinic in the valley recovering from a liver and kidney transplant! The transplant went well but she is still dealing with a few complications. She has fought very hard and we are so proud of her. They are thinking she has a week or two that she will still need to be in the hospital but when she is released we will need to stay in a certain range of the hospital to continue with outpatient appointments and treatments for at least six weeks. That being said, obviously the medical bills and the lodging costs after discharge are going to continue to pile up so any donations would mean the world to them! I would like to thank everybody for the outpouring support and prayers there is no doubt in my mind she is still here with us because of it! If you can’t help financially I understand but please keep the prayers coming and share this! Thanks again for everything!

Update 9/29:

They started Saraya on dialysis in hopes that her kidneys will respond, if all goes well they can ween her off slowly. Her numbers are treading in a positive direction and she has been in better spirits. Lucas and Saraya are so appreciative of all the prayers, donations and meals everyone has so graciously supported them with!

9/27: The Staires Family is asking for your thoughts and prayers as Saraya has been unexpectedly and tragically hospitalized with a diagnosis of life threatening conditions. Saraya was admitted to Flagstaff Medical Center last week and is currently fighting for her life in the intensive care unit. Saraya’s condition, affecting multiple organ systems, requires tremendous acute medical care and lifelong treatment moving forward.

Saraya is the devoted mother of her three young children: Jaxen, Presley, and Boaz, and she is also the loving wife and life partner of her husband, Lucas. Saraya is not only the compassionate matriarch of the Staires Family, but a pillar of the Greco family and a true friend to those lucky enough to call her such.

We, as close friends of the family, are reaching out on behalf of the Staires family to ask the community for support in the form of donations to assist with the financial burden as it accrues. Your donations will help with the unforeseeable and extensive medical treatments needed for Saraya, the families extended time away from work, and added child care for their children.
