Hello!
We are Saratoga High School's Tri-M Music Honor Society, a club dedicated to spreading music to our surrounding community. During the school year, we play at local senior homes and run benefit concerts for various causes.
When the Tri-M officers learned about the killing of George Floyd, we wanted to do something to help the Black Lives Matter movement and the efforts to end police brutality. So, we've decided to run a virtual benefit concert on the afternoon of June 20 via a YouTube premier. The officer team also decided to donate funds raised to Campaign Zero because they utilize facts and data statistics to conclude policies on solutions for police brutality. They fight to bring these solutions to lawmakers in America with contributions from lead activists, protesters and researchers. To encourage donations, we will be raffling off 5 Black Lives Matter t-shirts, as well as 4 gift cards to local businesses like Big Basin Cafe and the Bell Tower Bistro, both located in Saratoga, CA. To be entered, donors must donate a minimum of $10. An additional entry will be added for every $5 donated on top of that, with no limit on entry counts.
