I'm Sara! I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 1994, and started using the Tandem t-slim x2 pump in 2022, which has drastically improved my blood glucose control.

My current insurance through work refuses to cover my pump supplies. They want me to use Omnipod if anything -- I've used it before, and not only does it irritate my skin, but it also leaks insulin if I use more than 5 units at once (which is usually).

I am still working on an appeal for going forward, but I have already paid out of pocket for several months' worth of supplied and my savings is dwindling.

I'm asking for help paying for these supplies so that I can continue to pay rent and be independent.
