As I become a Bat Mitzvah, I am becoming aware of the world around me. There are many Jewish men and women serving in the United States military. They serve for my benefit and yours.
To share my thanks and to help them enjoy the holiday of Hanukkah, my mitzvah project is to send 250 Hanukkah parcels to the troops.
At my Bat Mitzvah, friends, family, and guests will help to assemble parcels with snacks, gelt, dreidels, and most importantly, a personal greeting card. An organization named Kosher Troops will help to deliver the parcels to the men and women who dedicate their lives so we can live with safety and freedom.
To show your gratitude and to bring light into the life of a soldier on Hanukkah, please make a gift of tzedakkah. All funds raised will be used to purchase supplies for the Hanukkah parcels. Thanks for your help.
