In August of 2025, I began seeing specialists at UCLA to start the process of getting on the liver transplant list. After months of tests and waiting, I was finally approved on February 20th, 2026. By April 1st, my liver health had taken a turn for the worse, and I was moved up the list. Then, on Monday, April 6th, everything changed—I was admitted to CMH as my condition spiraled. My ammonia levels soared above 300, and my MELD score jumped to 37 in just a few days. It became a race to secure a bed at UCLA, which thankfully happened early Sunday morning, April 12th. Since then, my MELD score has climbed into the 40s and is now affecting my kidneys, placing me in the top five on the transplant list on this side of the country. While I am doing my best to stay patient, I have to admit that sometimes I feel scared.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward my medical bills, travel expenses before and after surgery, and supporting my family as we navigate this challenging time. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on healing and recovery.
I am deeply grateful for any help and encouragement you can offer. Your support gives me hope and strength to hold on. In return, I hope to share the blessings in my life by creating candles and beautiful artwork for others. We all need each other, and I choose to bring happiness and beauty into this world to share with others. Thank you for being part of my journey.
