Sara & Baby Rj's Story:
I'm sharing Sara's story on behalf of her family.
Our hope in sharing this is to educate, to empower, and to hopefully prevent this from happening to another expecting mother.
Sara Ruiz was expecting her first child, a precious baby boy. For those who knew her, you know all the struggles she overcame during her short life. You also know that all she ever wanted was a family & to be a mother. Sara met the love of her life, her fiancé, Ron & they were ecstatic to be expecting their first child.
Her due date was February 5th, 2017
Saturday, January 7th:
Sara began having intense contractions & vomiting, so her mother transported her to the hospital Sara planned to deliver at.
She was discharged & instructed to follow-up with her doctor on Monday.
Sunday, January 8th:
Sara was vomiting profusely & her contractions continued so severely that she could barely walk. She couldn't tolerate sips of fluid. She went back to the same hospital.
She was discharged & again instructed to follow-up with her doctor on Monday.
Sara did not survive until Monday.
Sara had faith in her medical team.
Her loved ones had faith in her medical team.
Her loved ones feel as though her medical care could've been managed better in the days leading up to her death & during transportation to the hospital.
This could've been prevented.

Resting in his mother's arms in Heaven
Sara & Baby Rj should be with us today, but instead they were laid to rest. We will love & miss them forever.

Original Post:
Our beautiful Sara overcame so much throughout life. She was happy & healthy, living the life she deserved. All she ever wanted was to have a family & be a mother. January 8th, 2017 was supposed to be the most beautiful day of her entire life, the day she became a Mommy. We'll never understand why her & her precious baby boy, Ronnie Jr, were taken from us during childbirth. The death of her & her son may have been prevented if she would have received proper medical care in the days leading up to her passing.
Our hearts will be forever broken, but through this storm, we will create the sunshine that they both deserve. Our mission is to share Sara & Baby Rj's story to help raise awareness & education in hopes of saving another familly from the heartbreak we're experiencing.
Please pray for peace for her fiancé, family & friends.
All funds collected will help her family with arrangements for them both.
