Sarai get back on her feet (paws)

Aloha, my name is Kepa Gaison. I rescued this beautiful German Shepherd, named Sarai, just a few days ago whose original family had moved to the mainland. Her following caretaker’s neglected her and she was then left at their vacant rental home alone, only to be visited once a day to be fed. Facing possible surrender and euthanasia, my only thought was to get her out of there.

Although her demeanor and spirits are up since bringing her to my home, she is still not in great shape. She was left malnourished, with overgrown nails, and a pretty bad injury to her right elbow that causes her to limp extensively.

I made a promise that I would do everything I can to help nurse this former show dog champion back to good health.

I’ve already taken her for her first check up, got her caught up in vaccinations, flea/tick/heat worm meds, and some blood work, but that’s just the start, and I know her veterinary bills will begin to add up.

I am asking for anyone who might interested, able and willing to donate anything in any way possible to help get this beauty back on her feet!! Anything and everything will be greatly appreciated. The goal is to get her fully healthy and possibly into a loving home and family (if I am unable to keep her).
