Hi everyone! I was recently accepted into a study abroad program at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy! I'll be spending about 6 weeks studying Shakespeare and Ancient Roman History, while performing a site-specific adaptation of Julius Caesar.
But... studying abroad is expensive, and I'm asking for your help, if you're able.
The program fee is $6,966, which includes:
- Application Fee
- 3 hours of John Cabot University tuition
- Housing at John Cabot University
- 20-meal plan (this amounts to lunch for every school day)
- OCU Faculty Expenses and Production Fee
- Airport pick up on published arrival date
What is not included:
- Flights! (about $1600 2-way)
- Additional meals (breakfasts and dinners on school days, all meals on non-school days)
- Any additional weekend trips (I plan to visit Greece, where they filmed Mamma Mia, as well as Ter Aar, Netherlands, my grandmother's hometown, and Germany.)
- Personal expenses (toiletries, emergency, travel insurance.)

I am incredibly grateful to have been accepted into this program, as I love Shakespeare and have always wanted to visit Rome. I am also hoping to connect with my heritage through visiting the Netherlands and Germany. The incredible amount of experience and knowledge I would gain from this trip is indescribable, and I am so excited to have this opportunity!
