Hi, my name is Sabra Holmes, and I’m creating this GoFundMe for my best friend, Sarah Wachtel.

Sarah is one of the most funny, loving, and selfless people I’ve ever met. But most importantly, Sarah has always put Jesus first. She has been a rock for so many people, constantly showing up, supporting others, and helping in any way she can.

Sarah and I met in 2019 at the Owl’s Nest, where she worked on the women’s staff. We later worked together at Town Hall in 2020 and 2021, and over the years, she’s become like a big sister, a second mom, and my absolute best friend. She’s a world-class sponsor (but she ain't my sponsor—she's my best friend, and she’s a damn good friend at that).

Sarah currently works in admissions at Lantana in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, helping people find recovery resources through insurance. Her job is about helping others, but now she needs our help.

Sarah is moving to Colorado to reunite with her son and grandbaby—something she has been working toward for years. Due to challenges from the past, she hasn’t been able to be with her son for a long time, and this move is a huge step toward healing and rebuilding her family.

However, moving cross-country is expensive. Sarah needs help covering:

✔ A week-long hotel stay while she waits to move into her apartment

On a personal note—I have been out of work for the past year due to a disability, and Sarah has been there for me every single day.
