Sarah’s Mission trip to Honduras

Dear Family and Friends,

I have been given a unique opportunity to go to Honduras this summer to use the gifts God has given me to participate in a mission trip sponsored by the Lynn Haven Methodist Church. I will travel to Sula, Honduras, to serve and translate with the Nueva Vision Church. We will work alongside Pastor Osman and 10 other churches in the area to host a community VBS for about 250 kids, and we will also work with those churches to host a Pastors and Leaders conference that will support and encourage the leaders of these churches and their families. Following the conference portion of this, we will be hosting all 11 churches to join together for one BIG night of worship together! Additionally, we will be helping to do some work at the hospital that hosts our team. They are undergoing lots of improvements, so we will assist as needed. We hope to work on a project at one of the local churches and visit with and support a local bilingual Christian school that we partner with. The church has built a strong relationship with our Honduran family over the years, and I am so excited to use the gifts God has given me to shine His light to my brothers and sisters.

I am asking for your assistance in two important ways. First, I would love for prayers that God would guide our team and use us as His vessels. Also, please ask the Lord to prepare us for the tasks ahead and protect us in our travels. Last, but certainly not least, pray that God will use our team as we share in Christ’s love and hope with the people of Honduras.

I personally need to raise about $1600 for my portion of the trip expenses. This will cover my transportation, lodging, and food costs, along with funds to help finance the projects we will work on while we are in Honduras. I want to invite you to become a “mission partner” for our trip. You can play an important role in our partnership with the Nueva Vision Church in Honduras and all of the work that God will do during this packed-out week!
