I am reaching out to ask for your support for my friend Sarah, as you probably know she has been diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer. She is determined to live her life to the fullest and make the most of the time she has left. In March 2017, she was diagnosed with Stage three breast cancer at just 29 years old. Despite undergoing fertility treatment, lumpectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormone targeted therapy, her cancer returned in December 2021, but we later found out she had actually been living with it since her initial diagnosis. This time it had spread to all of her bones, lungs, liver, and lymph nodes.
She underwent emergency surgery for a proximal femoral replacement in January 2021 as the cancer was about to snap my hip/femur, she has had to learn how to walk again and now rely on walking aids to help her. Sarah is currently on her third line of treatment, weekly chemotherapy which she has just started , and am hoping that this one keeps her stable it has to!
As she face this difficult journey, Sarah is creating a living list of things she wants to experience and memories she wants to make with my favourite people before her time runs out. I am reaching out to ask for your help in making these dreams a reality. If you are moved by Sarah's story and would like to support her, I would be forever grateful and I know it would mean the absolute world to her.
I also know that in time Sarah may need to self fund for her care as a lot of treatments aren't available in the UK on the NHS. So this money would be also help towards this if Sarah needed private funding.
Life is so short, get out and go and live your life and don’t forget to check your titties!
Lots of love Lucy McNeil ❤️
