Sarah's Journey with The Omega Project (2023)

All children, especially young girls, deserve the right to grow up in a world where they can walk down the street without fear for their safety. Therefore, the goal of The Omega Project, founded by Sarah, is to commonize the conversations surrounding human trafficking and sex trafficking by equipping national education systems with simple curriculums.

At the age of 17, an acquaintance of Sarah's was sold into sex trafficking by her boyfriend, and no one knew until she escaped four years later through the help of a local anti-trafficking organization. Shortly after learning about her friend, a headline exposing a local restaurant and mansion owner for sexual assault charges stole the front page of her city’s news. Even though she was fortunate to grow up in a safe and inclusive community, she felt extremely ill-prepared to face the threats of grooming and recognizing the signs of unhealthy relationships. It was then that she first realized the magnitude of this issue and noted the lack of resources that were available to the public.

While participating in the 2022 Miss World Canada pageant, Sarah decided to stand for our communities and provide the public with easy and accessible educational resources on this topic through the creation of The Omega Project. Through this stage life, she is able to raise awareness and support for this cause on a national and potential international scale. Many doors have opened to further this conversation (because of this competition), and with her goals set on representing the country on an international level - she has the vision to address global audiences to spark awareness on the issues of human trafficking and sex trafficking.

Where will my donations go?

Donations provided here will help support the costs of operating The Omega Project and Sarah's pageant journey as she strives for a Miss. Canada title through Pageant Group Canada's compeititon in August 2023 and beyond.
