Bailey here, my sister Sarah is 15 years old. She had been dealing with a thought to be very large "cist" in her pelvic region for a couple months. Going through the normal medical remedies suchs as lancing, inputting drain tubes, etc. As of Tuesday, results from biopsy came in. Cancer. Ewing Sarcoma. Upon further test results; 7 nodules have appeared within her lungs. Within a week the fight has begun. Doctors started with removing and freezing an ovary in hopes for a chance at having hildren after this is said and done in the future. The chemo will cause her to become infertile. She starts her first round Friday, December 9th to be contuined for up to 8 months. Follwed by radiation to be sure her lungs are cured as well. 8 months of hell for not only Sarah, but for my father and step mother who will have to miss many hours of sleep, & many days of work that pays the bills. The stress and worry of a healthy cancer-free teenage child is enough burden for the 3 of them to bare. Any & all donations, prayers, and positive thoughts are more than appreciated. There are moments within our lives we see an opportunity to pay the small things forward for the blessing we've received, this may be a good moment to do so.
