I feel like it wasn't long ago that we were here trying to help Sarah as much as we could. Unfortunately, Sarah's circle is asking for help during this time. Here is a recap of Sarah's journey and where she is at today.
In 2020, shortly after welcoming her youngest son Mason, Sarah received the devastating news of her breast cancer diagnosis. She bravely fought and triumphed over the disease with great courage.
Sarah took proactive steps to significantly reduce the risk of cancer recurrence, including undergoing a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy, attending regular medical appointments, and following all necessary precautions.
In early 2024, Sarah was experiencing severe back pain, leading to difficulty breathing. Sarah went to the ER only to receive the heartbreaking news that her cancer had metastasized. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, with a tumor in her upper lumbar region pressing on her spine, along with spots on her spine, liver, and arm.
Sarah went through treatment yet again involving daily radiation for two weeks, followed by chemotherapy.
MOST RECENT UPDATE:
This past June, Sarah was fighting off what she thought was a cold. She was suddenly unable to breathe and ended up in the ER. They admitted her due to fluid around her right lung that needed to be drained and sent to pathology. The news that Sarah received was less than ideal, the cancer had spread to her right lung.
In early July, Sarah was feeling a new discomfort and was again having a hard time breathing, which brought her to the ER yet again. The doctors did a CT and saw there was now fluid around her left lung. Again, we heard those devastating words... the cancer spread to her left lung.
In just a short few weeks, Sarah's life has changed drastically. After leaving the hospital on oxygen, Sarah and her boys had to move in with her sister, brother in law, and their two kids. Their entire world has been flipped upside down with a snap of a finger. At a recent doctors visit Sarah was told that the cancer looks to have spread to her lymph nodes. Sarah will also need to get a brain scan to see if the cancer has spread to her brain.
Sarah is a devoted and courageous mother to her two young boys, Dylan, who is heading into 5th Grade and Mason, who is going to Kindergarten. Sarah's world revolves around her sons, putting them above all including her own health. She selflessly cares for her family, rarely putting herself first. She is the sole provider for her family and has been working two jobs to make ends meet. She recently had to give up her second job because of her declining health. As of right now, Sarah's full-time job is allowing her to work from home.
Sarah, an exceptional individual, is now in need of our support more than ever.
We ask you to contribute to help alleviate Sarah's worries as she embarks on this challenging journey once again. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference. Even just sharing her GoFundMe will help greatly! All funds raised will assist with bills, groceries, and other essential needs for her and her boys. Sarah's sister Amanda is the beneficiary of this GoFundMe because of the uncertainty of Sarah's health. Thank you for all the prayers, support, and generous donations in helping the Bromberek's.
