Sarah's Eyesight Crisis

Hi,

I'm Carol Schoff and I am Sarah's mom. My beautiful daughter is facing a serious health crisis now that concerns her sight. She is scared and worried she won't be able to provide for her three kids, nor others that depend on her for their jobs. She is currently in the hospital getting treatment and enduring test after test.

This started when her one eye developed a problem last November and she was seeing specialists to determine the cause. Suddenly a week ago, her other eye started having problems and now she cannot safely drive nor work in the capacity she once did. As a single mom, you can imagine how much that is limiting her ability to function as she used to and take care of those kids when they are with her (she shares custody with her ex-husband). The medical specialists have ruled out many things, but root cause is still not fully known; it may be related to severe stress and/or a previous illness.

Thanks to a ruling that was finalized by the last Administration in 2024, which limits the duration of short-term health plans and is like the one Sarah had while she worked to get more permanent coverage, she is now without health insurance and is facing thousands of dollars in medical bills.

Her family and friends and I thought this was one way we could try to help her. Please pray for Sarah and if you feel led to do so, kindly contribute to help us take some of this burden off her.
