Sarah's Car Needs Fixing After Tornado
Hi, I'm Sarah, and I am needing assistance with getting my vehicle repaired from the March 14th tornado that hit Rolla, Missouri. I was heading for shelter when, unfortunately, I was caught by the tornado. I stopped at one place but was told they didn't want me there, so I had to make a fast run for town. I made it as far as the parking lot but was out of time and had to ride the tornado out inside my vehicle. My vehicle took a direct hit in the Big Lots parking lot across the street from where the strip mall was demolished. I was able to walk away with some bruising, but my vehicle took a beating from Mother Nature. In the process of getting hit by an EF2 tornado, I lost two tires, my back side glass was blown out, and the factory-equipped spoiler was ripped off and probably in the next county over by now.
I have car insurance, but when I took out my policy with State Farm, they didn't put the comprehensive and collision on it like I asked them to. I filed a claim for repairs, but they denied me and informed me that I have liability only instead of what I asked for.
The $400 will be used for one new tire and installation, an alignment job as debris was striking the front of my vehicle and now pulls, and for the purchase and installation of a new back glass. I am not worried about the spoiler as it isn't a necessity, only cosmetic.
Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my situation.
