I am a friend of Sarah Noah and her husband, Craig Dean. Over the past year, many people in the community have reached out asking how they could help honor Sarah’s memory and mark the anniversary of her passing.
Sarah loved Garfield Park, it was a place where she spent countless happy days with Craig and their dog, Jackson. To celebrate her spirit and create something lasting for everyone to enjoy, we’re working with the city on placing a bench near the cherry blossom tree which was planted in memory of her in the park.
This bench will be a peaceful spot where friends, neighbors, and park visitors can sit, reflect, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, just as Sarah always did.
This GoFundMe is simply an outlet for anyone who wishes to contribute toward making this special tribute possible, an opportunity for those who want to be part of honoring Sarah in a meaningful way.
Donations will be accepted through the end of July and will be capped at the total cost of the quoted fees, which covers the bench, installation, and plaque costs. Our goal is to have the bench installed by the end of September 2025.
Thank you for helping keep Sarah’s love for “Outside over inside” alive in a place that meant so much to her.
