Sarah's Album Fund!

My name is Sarah and I am a singer-songwriter creating music inspired by my own journey to the authentic self. My background began with an extreme love for musical theater and performance as a young girl. Growing up, still loving the stage, I began to find struggle with knowing the difference between my voice, Sarah's voice, and the voice of a character I'd be playing. Transitioning out of theater performance is when this struggle became prominent.

What does Sarah sound like when she's not trying to sound like anyone else? This question kickstarted my journey into getting to know, finding, and setting free my true voice... the voice of my heart. The voice that when given the space, is free to express and sound like whatever it wants beyond the "rules" of what should and shouldn't sound good. The voice that simply feels good.

Once I began stepping into my more authentic voice, the door to songwriting opened up and asked me to walk through it. At 22, I did just that. By saying yes to the process, I created space for these songs to flow in. All of my words and melodies quickly became my own medicine.

For all the times I needed to remind myself that I'm perfect just the way I am, the times I needed to soothe my inner child, the times when I needed to step up, stand in my power and remember who the f** I am... I wrote a song. The songs I've written have all been deeply healing for me and very fun to write. My prayer is that the medicine in this music can be yours too!

I am asking for help to fund the recording and producing of this album because the truth is, making quality music is simply not cheap. The songs will feature me and my acoustic guitar as well as guest musicians, some strings, bass, percussion, and be directly aimed at connecting with the heart of the listeners, of you!
