Sarah’s 2nd Phase of Treatment
Donation protected
Hello Friends & Family…
You all have been our lifeline the last several years of Sarah’s medical journey and have played a special part in her healing as you've prayed and poured into our family. Thank you again, your love, care and support has truly carried us through.
Praise God, Sarah has been able to live LIFE again since receiving phase 1 of her treatment, back in March 2023. She hasn’t had to endure weekly 6 hour infusions, hospitalizations, daily four hour naps, or transfusions! Sarah has also been able to complete her first semester of college, live in the dorms and take a full load of classes, and enjoy life as a young adult doing all of the things we thought she’d never be able to do. Every day is filled with countless miracles as we watch all that God has done in her heart and body to heal her. We have been reminded that God still does miracles far beyond what our humans minds can comprehend.
Before Sarah received her first stem cell treatment, she struggled to hold onto hope as she was only able to function a few hours a day and lived in constant pain and loss of functioning in several parts of her body. We have known that she would need more treatments at some point, because of the extent of disease and damage to her body. We live in the dichotomy of both wonderful healing alongside her current hard physical struggles. Heck, we find it almost impossible to fully understand the scope of her illness and the extent of her suffering. But we are so grateful for what He has done thus far.
After LOTS of blood work and evaluation, the doctor has told us that it is imperative for Sarah to have another full ten day stem cell treatment. While we had hoped for the miracle of complete healing, we have peace that God is still working on her behalf and will continue to complete the good work He has started in her. She has come so far medically, but more treatment is needed to alleviate the severe inflammation, vision damage and strain on her organs that she has experienced. With this upcoming phase of her treatment, Sarah is now very hopeful because of the incredible healing the first treatment brought her, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
If you’d like to continue on in Sarah’s healing journey with us, below are some ways to do so.
-Praise God for the healing that’s taken place and has kept Sarah out of palliative care and in college!
-Praise God that Sarah continues to grow in big and beautiful ways and trust Him even through her hardest days.
-Please pray Sarah’s body can hold out and she can finish her first entire school year without hospitalization or treatment and she can wait anxiety free until May for her next stem cell treatment.
-Please pray the monthly IV’s she’s currently receiving will continue working well enough to get her to May.
-Please pray this next round of stem cell treatment will finally allow her to wean off some of the many meds she’s still currently needing and will heal her kidney’s, eyes, and various body parts still dealing with system inflammation and pain.
We praise God for the friends and family who have shared our burdens and carried us in so many ways.
Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance for every prayer for Sarah and for your generous donation that will help us get her started on this next phase of treatment.
