Sarah's Medical Journey

Sarah got very ill in the winter of 2012 and doctors were not able to figure out what was wrong with her and why she was in constant pain in her head. We went from cluster headaches to migraines to a brain tumor. All were wrong diagnoses and we became very disillusioned and tired of the run around. We found an excellent doctor in the late summer of 2015 and she was able to determine what Sarah had in ten days with two blood tests. Sarah had contracted viral meningitis  which then lead to several other things and her immune system going haywire and attacking her organs. Because meningitis attacks the brain, and she had been sick for 3 years and 8 months, brain damage and swelling were the biggest hurdles we were facing. With both of those issues, she had multiple seizures a day, was very weak and was losing her eyesight in her right eye. All peripheral vision is gone now and she has nearly constant ringing in her ears. Over the past three months she has been very ill and has taken huge leaps backwards in her progress which is not a good thing. Sarah doesn't just get sick...she lands herself in the ER more times than I can count now. We have had some very difficult days recently and the night of April 9th was the most difficult. She went into episodes of intense vomiting and violently shaking. I had to reach out to her doctor and she wants a new MRI to see if there have been any changes with the brain damage that appears as a white spot in her right posterior thalamus. This test is going to be expensive for us but she needs it so it must be done. Sarah is on SSDI which is Social Security Disability Insurance because she is deemed and totally disabled. This money, which is not much, all goes toward the purchase of her medical cannabis every month. I am asking that you would pray and consider helping Sarah with the MRI and she is needing a wheelchair now when we have to take her for doctor appointments. She is very shaky and unstable when walking.  Also, 420 is coming up, which is a big deal in the medical marijuana community because it was proposition 4-20 that legalized medical marijuana. Her dispensary will be having some really good sales and I would hope that she would able to get her max allowed ounces of product to last her for some time. She has to ration and stretch out all of her product every month because she is on a tight budget.  Please consider giving to her financially so that she can have a better quality of life.
